A pretty cluster of buildings on a hillside with an attractive three arched bridge crossing the River Elwy. Llanfair Talhaiarn makes for a great place to take a short break at any time of day.
Located on the junction of the A548 and A544, there’s a couple of pleasant pubs and a proper village shop. Why not take a break here and support the local community. There’s a small gathering of picnic tables next to the River and the all important Public Convenience too.
Take a short stroll to the top of the hill where you’ll find the Church of St. Mary. The interior is interesting. The church dates back as early as the 16th century, but little remains after renovation and improvement works in the 1800s. The church is home to an attractive pipe organ made around 1880 by Conachers of Huddersfield.
There’s car parking near to the bridge. Sat Nav postcode to put you close to pub and shop is LL22 8RY
